West Cork

West Cork is not a county, does not have identifiable borders and is simply one of the most unspoiled and beautiful pieces of countryside in Ireland. It stretches from Carrigaline to the Dursey Sound and has an unbeatable mixture of rugged coastline, mountains, lakes, rivers and rich rolling farmland.

West Cork is a network of villages and towns each with its own character and identity but with a common streak of pride of place running through it. There are more than enough things to do and see here, walking, fishing, cycling, swimming, golfing, rowing, canoeing, horseriding the list goes on and on. There are festivals throughout the year with music of all types available from a Chamber music festival to Irish traditional and much more in between.
